There are various ways to use mods in Starfield, but all of them require the use of the "StarfieldCustom.ini" file. To check if you have this file on your PC, navigate to where Starfield is installed. Typically, it is located in the "Documents" folder within the "My Games" directory.
To create the "StarfieldCustom.ini" file, go to the Starfield folder:
%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Starfield
In the Starfield folder, right-click and choose 'New' > 'Text Document' from the dropdown menu. Rename the newly created document in the folder to 'StarfieldCustom.ini' and press Enter.
After generating the file, right-click on it and open it with a text editor (such as Notepad). Once opened, paste the following lines of text into the file, save it, and then close the file.

After making the "StarfieldCustom.ini" file, the next step is adding mods to customize your Starfield experience. To make it easy, use a mod manager, a tool that quickly installs and manages mods.
With a mod manager, you can easily organize and turn mods on/off based on your preferences. These tools not only make installing mods straightforward but also help avoid potential conflicts between them, ensuring a smoother gaming experience.
