The map is divided into 22 regions called biomes, each of which features different terrain, resources, and energy production capabilities.
For example, if your starting location is in the grassy fields biome, and you want to create a fuel plant that generates energy, you'll need to travel to other regions (such as blue crater) where you can find oil, as it's an exclusive resource of certain biomes.
