In Enshrouded, it's crucial to establish roads that connect the key areas of your base. Traveling on these roads grants the "On the Road" buff, reducing the stamina needed for running. However, there isn't a direct method for constructing roads, so the community has developed various methods to build them.

                            Road
Before you begin building roads, you'll need two tools: a rake and a construction hammer. You can make a rake at the workbench with 6 wood logs, 2 string, and 2 stone. For the construction hammer, you'll need just 1 stone, also crafted at the workbench.
Once you have the tools, you'll need to collect the materials for building roads. You can use dirt or stone, or even other materials, depending on how you want your base to look. To get these materials, you'll need a pickaxe, which you can make in the crafting menu (press V) using 1 stone, 4 twigs, and 1 string.

                            Find Dirt
Find materials, stone or Dirt Road Block:
To find the materials, explore the map and look for areas of bare ground without grass. Use the pickaxe to extract blocks of the material you want to use for the road. You can also directly extract “Dirt Road Block” from roads around the map.
Place dirt:
Once you have all the materials at your base, construction is simple. Open the construction menu by pressing [TAB] with the construction hammer equipped, then press ALT to see all options. Scroll down to the "Terrain" category and select the 4m Box of the material you want to use. Place the block at the starting point of the road.

Expand and flatten dirt:
Stand on top of the block and use the "rake" tool to expand the ground in the desired direction. Then, stand on the grass and use the rake to flatten the road and give it its final shape.

You might not get the perfect road on your first try, but don't worry. With this guide, you'll soon be building roads that fit seamlessly into your base and give you a sprinting bonus.

                            Flatten Road
The second method is somewhat simpler but consumes more resources. It involves directly removing chunks of terrain and filling them with dirt road blocks.
To do this, go to the terrain section in the construction hammer and right-click on the ground. This will remove a chunk the size of the block you have selected. Then, select "Dirt Road Block" as the material and fill in the gaps you have created.
