Enshrouded - How to clear the Elixir Well and Defeat Fell Thunderbrute

To start the Elixir Well quest, the first thing you need to do is summon Blacksmith Oswald at your Flame Altar. By speaking with Oswald, you will receive the new quest and be able to mark the location of the elixir well on the map.

With this task done, you need to move east from the abandoned camp. Once you venture into the shroud, you will encounter numerous enemies along the way. However, these enemies are easy to defeat. The location of the hidden Elixir Well is a large ruin inside the shroud.

When you get to the ruin, prepare for more potential enemy encounters. Find the large staircase on the East side of the ruin and ascend. Here, you'll discover a Return Beacon, your new spawn point, and a hole. This hole is your entrance into the well.

Next, go down into the well using the available ladder and the grid wall. Descend until you find a spiral staircase that guides you deeper inside.

Inside the well, you will have to fight a tough boss named Fell Thunderbrute. He guards the Shroud Root. To defeat him, you need to use ranged attacks, keep moving, and dodge his attacks. Keep up this strategy until Fell Thunderbrute falls.

Once you defeat Fell Thunderbrute, pick up the Shroud Core and the rest of the loot. You will find it among his remains. Then, take your weapon, preferably an ax, and destroy the Shroud Root. Doing so will eliminate the Shroud.

Remember, the Elixir Well quest is tough. As a starting quest, it will test your combat skills. Always have water, bandages, and Purple Berries at hand. Also, use the Shroud Timer at the top of the well when enemies are nearby.
